Speed Racer actor Christian Oliver and daughters die in plane crash

Police have reported the tragic death of German actor Christian Oliver and his two daughters in a plane crash in the Caribbean. The incident occurred as they were traveling from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to St Lucia. The aircraft encountered difficulties shortly after takeoff and crashed into the ocean, according to investigators.

Christian Oliver, whose real name is Christian Klepser and was known for his roles in films such as Speed Racer and Valkyrie, lost his life along with his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12. The plane’s owner and pilot, Robert Sachs, an American, also perished in the crash.

Local assistance from divers and fishermen in Paget Farm, Bequia, aided in the recovery of the victims from the aircraft and sea. The Royal SVG Police Force and SVG Coast Guard participated in the retrieval, and the bodies were transported to St Vincent for post-mortem examinations.

The cause of the crash remains undetermined, and the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority is actively gathering information to contribute to the ongoing investigation. Christian Klepser’s representatives expressed condolences, stating that their “thoughts and prayers are with him, his two daughters, and his family.”

Christian Klepser, 51, had a notable career, appearing in films like The Good German and two seasons of the popular German series Alarm for Cobra 11 as a detective. His contributions extended to the Netflix series Sense8, and he lent his voice to several video games.

The U.S. State Department assured that it is providing “all appropriate consular assistance” to the families affected by this tragic incident.
